Beginning of the construction of Sangano’s landing station.

2011
Starts the construction of data center Angonap Luanda, and the Backbone of the connection between Sangano landing station and Angonap Luanda data center is outlined.

2012
Inauguration of WACS, Angonap Luanda data center and Sangano landing station.
Also in this year, backbone is installed and the SACS project begins.

2013
Angola Cables is granted the Quality and Efficiency award. This is also the year we sign with Epsilon.
In the sea, Angola Cables boats shine in the Cape to Rio Race, increasing the brand’s awareness.

2014
A feasibility study of the Angonap Fortaleza Data Center is conducted and project Monet begins (signing of the consortium for construction)

2016
In March, the contract with the supplier for SACS is signed. At the beginning of the 4th quarter of the year, in September, Monet arrives in Fortaleza.

2017
This year we register significant progress in the network robustness enhancement while establishing several peering agreements, the opening of several PoPs, and interconnection agreements with Tier 1 operators and international IXPs. The ID3.net becomes the first customer of remote peering in the IXP Angonix. We also signed a strategic partnership with DECIX and an MOU with WACREN, a prestigious scientific research entity.

2018
Monet and SACS are ready for business. An MOU is signed with IOX, Fiberlight, Sillica Networks and Broadband Infraco extending this way the network capillarity of Angola Cables in core destinations within Asia, South America, USA, and South Africa. The expansion of the IP network continues to evolve favorably and strategic PNI ´ s are established. This year Angola Cables becomes a DECIX reseller and empower the institutional relationship with Fortaleza authorities in Brazil with the partnership with ETICE (Information Technology Company of Ceará).
